The International Medical Alliance of Rancho Mirage
is gearing up for its annual medical mission to
Somoto, Nicaragua, from July 29 to Aug. 8 and is in
need of donations.

The organization needs to send an anesthesia
machine donated by John F. Kennedy Memorial
Hospital and approximately three tons of medical
supplies, medicines, vitamins and equipment to
Nicaragua to support the team of medical
professionals and volunteers.

It will cost approximately $15,000 to move the
freight.

The group, which includes local volunteers from the
Coachella Valley including Cathedral City Fire Chief
Bill Soqui and Cathedral City Rotary Club president
Gillian Cross, will provide much-needed medical
attention to thousands during the 10-day trip.
